Mike Smith of Suffocation recording Psychometry's The Four Points

Legendary Suffocation drummer Mike Smith recording on Psychometry's album The Four Points. Smith pioneered the blast beat technique of hitting the snare and kick drum and hi-hat or ride in total unison and the gravity blast which involves playing a basic Euro-blast pattern on the kick and cymbal but using a one-handed roll technique using the snare's rim to create what sounds like a two-handed drum roll with only one hand. The album was recorded at Forgotten Prophets Studio, located in the Bechet House B&B.
