Raised On Rice & Gravy

This from Cinematic Arts Workshop:

Next Wednesday, March 11, at 8:30 pm, LPB will deliver the statewide broadcast premier of "Raised on Rice and Gravy," the latest documentary film produced by the Cinematic Arts Workshop here at UL Lafayette. Also, tonight at 7:00 pm, LPB's weekly news show, "Louisiana: The State We're In" will feature a story about the making of the film and interviews with the artists behind it.

An important part of nurturing and growing an industry is to nurture those in the community who are part of that industry. We feel strongly that this holds true for the creative industries, so finding ways to meaningfully engage creative professionals in Acadiana is a crucial part of The Lafayette Entertainment Initiative's core mission.

But even more important than finding ways to reach out to professionals in the community is facilitating ways for those people to reach out to one another.Continue
